sourcing assistance
GSMP sources a full range of merchandise from many countries, including apparel, textiles, footwear, accessories, furniture, gifts, housewares and homestore products for over 30 customers, including several major US Catalog Houses, Brands, Department Stores and Specialty Retailers.
quality assurance
In the area of Quality Assurance, we work to our customer’s instruction where supplied. In the absence of specific client manuals and/or procedures we follow the ANSI Z1.4 standards using single sample statistical selections to an inspection standard of AQL 4.0. At a minimum our quality assurance procedures cover the inspection of raw materials prior to productions, in-process production inspections, and final merchandise inspections.
sampling
The timely and effective procurement and approval of samples, including raw material testing requirements, by the initial prototypes, counter samples, top of production or salesmen’s samples is an integral element in the sourcing process. Our merchandising and technical teams are fully experienced in handling the full range of our customer’s sampling requirements.
communications
GSMP is wholly electronically integrated. We provide a Group-wide vendor database, including vendor and factory evaluation profiles for all approved suppliers. Our system comprehends the production order process from receipt of client purchase order (input either from hardcopy, email or via direct EDI input) through all production-tracking activities, quality assurance scheduling, monitoring and record keeping, and shipment scheduling.
domestic expediting
Our due diligence procedures, including detailed vendor and factory evaluation reports evaluate each supplier’s capabilities and compliance with all legal and human rights requirements. Each of our full service offices employs staff knowledgeable in the local shipping and exporting regulations of each exporting jurisdiction and checks all merchandise documentation.
office support
GSMP Offices provide the in-country support required covering the use of office facilities, telecommunications, internet access, travel reservations and arrangement of transportation services.
